Adaeze Yobo opens up on how she met, got pregnant and married Joseph Yobo

Speaking with Sun News, former beauty queen and Joseph Yobo's wife, Adaeze Igwe Yobo, opened up on how they met, how fast they got married, and the joys motherhood. Excerpts below...

How did you meet your husband?
I met him in Nigeria through a friend at an event. From there, we became close friends. I became pregnant and we got married immediately. Everything happened in a very short time. A lot of people thought it wasn’t going to work but at that moment, I knew I felt something I had never felt with anyone in my life and I said to myself, why not take that chance? I’m quite prayerful , so I knew there’s no way I could err, though I never planned getting married so early. I had so many dreams of what I wanted in life. Marriage was the last thing on my mind. It happened so fast and I thought I should give it a shot. Continue...
So, what attracted you to him?
When we first met, I didn’t know who he was really. He didn’t know that I was the most beautiful girl in Nigeria. When I knew he was a footballer, I said to myself this relationship might not work or lead us anywhere, because of the lifestyle of some footballers who have so many girlfriends.
Do you regret marrying him?
Not at all. No marriage can ever be perfect. Even my relationship with my mum can never be perfect. I have never regretted any moment with my husband and I always say to my sisters and cousins that I don’t know what I could have been without my husband. I wondered the kind of man I would have ended up with if I didn’t marry him. I thank God that He planned my life and I’m living the life He planned for me. God has been gracious to me in every way.
When exactly did you leave Nigeria?
As soon as I met my husband, I left the shores of Nigeria for further studies. I went to New York. I got married in 2009 and in 2010, I had my son.
What do you miss about Nigeria?
I have been coming for Christmas. I usually spend two weeks intermittently in Nigeria and return , because I’m in school. I’m studying New Media in Turkey. I miss Nigeria a lot because of fashion and music back home.
What’s it like being a mother?
It’s been a wonderful experience being mother to this wonderful son of mine. When the little boy came out from my body, I discovered that he’s my first real love. I thought I was in love with my husband not until I saw my son. I have never loved somebody that much in my life.

Nigerian mum gives birth to white baby in odds that baffled midwives 32 year old Nigerian Catherine Howarth was convinced she had been given the wrong child when midwives presented her with her new baby shortly after she gave birth at a Milton Keynes Hospital on June 1st. She was stunned because the little boy named Jonah was completely white. And even though baby Jonah has a white father, doctors say the chances of him being completely white too were an incredible one in a million. And it wasn’t only baby Jonah’s parents who were stunned, so were the midwives. Continue “The midwife looked at me and looked back down at Jonah and then at me again and couldn’t believe it. The doctors confirmed it was extremely rare."Catherine. Her husband Richard Howarth, 34, was equally astonished. “When I first set eyes on my baby boy Jonah, it was a feeling of pure delight and relief that he was healthy and strong. His complexion was very pale due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around his neck when he was being delivered. “After a few hours his colour came to his cheeks. Catherine and I noticed his complexion was very similar to mine and were surprised it was as light. The midwives and doctors told us he’ll most likely remain this colour.” Doctors have said Jonah is not an albino. “We have been told that I must have been carrying a recessive gene. My parents were from Nigeria and, for as far back as anyone can remember, my family have all been black. But at some point there must have been a white gene in my family that has remained dormant for years and years – until now. The doctors said they had researched the chances of this happening and discovered that it was very, very rare. They had only found two similar cases, both in America, that had been reported in recent times.” Catherine said Catherine and Richard say they plan to have more children but have been told the chances of them also being born white are highly unlikely.

Wizkid finally addresses recent beef with Davido

In an interview with Olisa Adibua on his new TV program called The Truth, Wizkid opened up on his recent beef with Davido. Below is what he said;
"That situation was just so funny to me because we were all on the same flight. I got back, I was really tweeting about my show. I was talking about myself. I had a show in New York before that, that was like a year ago, or two years ago, it was sold out, sound was bad, venue we used was crazy....it was f**ked up. I land for airport nah, I was going to my hotel, drove through the venue, I saw my name in lights, and I saw my venue and I was like "Wow! This is me?" Came down, took a picture , posted it - I do proper shows, proper venues. People started catching feelings" Continue...
"Everyone should be mad at that. If that was the case, then everyone like Iyanya, everyone that has done shows in the US should say something.
"When I saw that, it was funny. It was all just play. I no get time abeg. I do proper shows. So if you get mad at that, that means, why you mad? You don't do proper shows, proper venues? Why are you mad? I wasn't talking about nobody. I was promoting my show. I feel like if I'm doing something for myself, happy about my success and you are hating at my success, I don' know what to say to you. Should I consider you as a friend or foe? I don't know"
When Olisa asked him if he would consider Davido as a friend, Wizkid said...
"Me I'm cool with everybody. I'm easy with everyone. If you don't come at me, I won't come at you. If you pray for me, I pray for you. If you swear for me, I go swear make God punish you! "
I have a 3 year old son. I have more important issues to deal with in my life. I have real life problems. I'm not into no beefs. I'm just trying to survive. Live my life!
He also said his new album will be his last with EME.

The video below... the beef talk starts from 9.20mark...

Divorce drama: Anita Oyakhilome’s name removed from Christ Embassy church website

The divorce mess between Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has worsened, P.M News reports.
On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.
Many describe the action as the beginning of a process to shut her out of the church, after she accused her husband of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviours” in a divorce suit filed in London last April but only made public on Friday. Continue...
Christ Embassy’s new website now shows only Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, with a broad smile welcoming his followers to the month of August, and tagging it, ‘Month of Praise’.
In the message on the website, Oyakhilome also urges his followers to “rejoice for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Also, on the website of the Rhapsody of Realities, a daily devotional co-authored by the esrtwhile couple, there’s nothing to show that Anita is still recognised as the only visible face on the website among the family members is that of her husband.
It was too early to know if the September edition of the Rhapsody of Realities still has the photographs of both the pastor and his wife as it used to be.
In the past, when the going was good, Anita and Chris Oyakhilome held hands on the church website and smiled broadly. They projected the image of a perfect couple.
But P.M.NEWS checks at the weekend revealed that there is confusion in the church following the divorce suit filed by Anita to end her over two decades marriage to the founder of Christ Embassy Church.
In the past, Pastor Chris headed the Nigerian branch of the church, though he travelled to other branches occasionally, while Anita headed the branch in London and its environs.
Christ Embassy and its founder have been embroiled in a myriad of controversies in the past. In 2010, Oyakhilome was accused of engineering a money laundering scheme in Nigeria, and questions swirled around his finances because of his glamorous lifestyle.
Many pastors and theologians also excoriated Oyakhilome for his “New Creation” doctrine—a form of gnosticism that says after a person becomes a Christian, any sin they commit is only in the body and will not affect the spirit.
In 2008, Oyakhilome’s reputation as a faith healer was tarnished badly in Johannesburg, South Africa, when a man told a Soweto newspaper that Christ Embassy offered him more than $1,200 to sit in a wheelchair and pretend to be crippled until Oyakhilome prayed for him.
“The man went to the media instead of taking the money, sparking concerns that healings were being faked to impress growing crowds,” said Lee Grady in an article in 2012 published by Charisma Magazine.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has also been a target of criticism by the Treatment Action Campaign for his support of faith healing to cure HIV.
Allegations that Christ Embassy members are reportedly being forced to give huge sums of money in offerings with the biggest donors receiving the biggest awards have left many people concerned.
Many Nigerians have also alleged that the church operates like a cult and pressures members to marry only within Christ Embassy.
Many people also remember the scandal involving Christ Embassy and Sheraton Hotel some years ago when a member of the church, who worked at the Sheraton Hotel, stole money from his employers and gave it to Christ Embassy. But when Sheraton approached the church for reimbursement, the church allegedly claimed that the money had been given to God and could not be refunded.
Many also excoriated Pastor Chris some years ago when the church began collecting gate fees from members for their New Year Eve’s Service.
More recently, Oyakhilome came under attack after he claimed that Christians were free to masturbate because it was not a sin.
But the latest scandal involving Anita and Chris, who have two daughters, seems to threaten the very existence of one of the biggest churches in Nigeria.
Christ Embassy runs several arms including the Healing School, Rhapsody of Realities, and an N.G.O called the Innercity Missions as well as three Christian television channels: LoveWorld TV, LoveWorld SAT and LoveWorld Plus.
The church is scattered all over the world, including in the United Kingdom, the United States, South America and the whole of Europe.
Stories about women bringing men of God down are not new. In 1988, Jimmy Swaggart, a famous American preacher was implicated in a sex scandal involving a prostitute that resulted initially in his suspension, and ultimately defrocking, by the Assemblies of God.
Three years later, Swaggart was implicated in another scandal involving a prostitute. As a result, Swaggart’s ministry became non-affiliated, non-denominational and significantly smaller than it was before the scandals.

Ebola: Female doctor tests positive in Port Harcourt

A female doctor who was on admission at the Green Hart hospital where late Port Harcourt doctor, Iyke Enemoah, was treated after he got infected with the deadly virus by an ECOWAS official, has tested positive to Ebola.

Minister of Health, Prof Onyebuchi Chukwu revealed this today September 1st during a meeting of the National Emergency Council on Ebola outbreak in Nigeria. Continue...

Speaking with all Commissioners for Health in Nigeria, Prof. Chukwu said the doctor who tested positive to Ebola is now being treated at the Ebola isolation ward in Rivers state.

This recent confirmation brings to three the number of confirmed Ebola cases in Rivers state; the index case which is the ECOWAS official, Oluibukun Koye; the late Dr Iyke Enemoah who died on Friday August 22nd and the recently diagnosed female doctor.

Prof Chukwu said more cases of the Ebola Virus Disease were still being expected in Rivers state.
