Now, they say Bruce Jenner is suicidal?

InTouch Weekly claims that Bruce Jenner is on 'suicide watch' having allegedly sunk into a deep depression as he prepares to go public with details about his gender transition.

A so-called source tells In Touch "Kris Jenner and the rest of the family “are scared to death about his state of mind. The are worried and terrified that he might hurt himself  or worse. He’s been a sad, emotional wreck, and friends and loved ones have him on suicide watch.”

The mag alleges that Bruce feels abandoned and betrayed by his family "The whole experience is messing with his head. That’s something you didn’t see during the Diane Sawyer interview. No one talked about how they’re afraid he may harm himself. One minute he says he’s happier than ever, and the next minute, he’s sobbing that he’s ruined his life. It’s scary. Everyone is concerned about him, now more than ever. He’s a basket case. No one wants to say it, but suicide is on everyone’s mind.” the source said.

Another Kardashian source has since rubbished these claims, saying the suicide story is rubbish!

The Xenophobia Syndrome - by Charly Boy

Here's Charly Boy's take on the Xenophobic attacks happening in South Africa currently. Read below
I am not feeling good today. Perhaps I got up on the wrong side of the bed. But the bad news from my telephone conversation with my granddaughter who is an undergraduate in Mauritius last week could be a factor. She expressed her deep concerns regarding safety in her country of study, highlighting strings of attacks on foreigners.
I have been most worried about the too much bickering and guarding of territory stories making the rounds. It appears Xenophobia is becoming the mass ideology of the century.

The events of the past 2weeks in South Africa and indeed other parts of the world have got me really thinking.
Nigerians who live in Western/European countries complain about racism and being second-class citizens in their host countries.

Britain is making anti-immigration laws and tightening its borders everyday because they believe they are being overwhelmed by the increasing demand to create opportunities for its teeming immigrants, neglecting its own.

Japanese government, having become extremely worried by this hostile anti-foreigner development, is keen to attract millions of new tourists and business visitors to Japan over the next decade; but with "Don't come to Japan if you're a foreigner" clause.
This is the message from many Japanese hotels in a recent survey conducted by the Japanese Ministry for Tourism. Haba!

Even in our own Nigeria, we see pockets of tribal and religious Xenophobia here and there. Isn't that really insane? For instance, just before the recently concluded presidential elections, there was a mad exodus, people leaving the cities for their villages due to fear of the unknown. This fatal inhibition cannot be divorced from the spreading of unguarded comments and positions which evoked fear in the hearts of most Nigerians; pitching us against one another. Na wah!

Is it therefore any wonder at the extremity of our own African brothers in the South meting out the worst treatments on their fellow Africans? Hmmmnnn!
South Africa is experiencing one of its worse case of xenophobic syndrome simply because they believe that foreigners are taking away their luck and their jobs.

I do strongly believe this is a wake-up call to everyone that, if we believe, our land can still be green. To begin to look homeward and think of ways to make this our home (Nigeria) better and truly standout like the giant it’s meant to be. I think it is high time our leaders began to look inward, create a life for our teeming population and make Nigeria a proud home where citizens are not looking to run away (even when running away means being a 3rd class or no class citizen at destination).

What is it that we lack that we cannot begin to focus on our diversity which is the core strength that we have and use it to create a world where our children will be happy and proud to live in? Truth be told, so long as we continue to ignore our youths who I still believe are the life wire of this nation; so long as we continue to encourage brain drain and capital flight by running to and developing other countries instead of ours, the story will continue to be that of raising another man’s child. No matter how long you keep that child and nurture it, the DNA can never confirm the child as yours.

As we all anticipate a positively impacting CHANGE, I look forward to a Nigeria where her honourable youths, leaders and indeed every citizen will rise up and build the nation of our dream. A nation where we will sincerely fight corruption, tribal and religious sentiments as well as all other things that create the divide and focus on the one thing we have in common, NIGERIA/Poverty.
Let the ties that bind us be NATIONAL PATRIOTISM or nothing.

Collective fear stimulates herd instinct and tends to produce beef/hate towards those who are not regarded as members of the herd.
Let this not be a piece you read and do nothing about, let it inspire you to begin the change from your individual space. To think that your being poor or less privileged is because someone else (foreign to you) is rich and doing well is the actual meaning of Xenophobia.
Think, then let me know what you think....

700 migrants feared dead in deadliest Mediterranean ship capsize

700 migrants are feared dead after their packed 20-meter fishing boat capsized offLibya today April 19th. Reports say the migrants, whose boat was 70 miles (126 km) off the Libyan coast and 110 miles (177 km) south of the Italian island of Lampedusa, issued a distress call to Italy's coastguard who immediately instructed a nearby merchant ship to go to its aid and it was when the merchant ship arrived at the scene that the fishing boat capsized, most likely as the migrants tried to get its attention, stampeding to one side of the boat.

UNHCR spokeswoman Carlotta Sami said today's shipwreck appears to be the worst in the Mediterranean

"It seems we are looking at the worst massacre ever seen in the Mediterranean,".
Meanwhile 28 people survived the incident while 24 bodies have been recovered from the water. 17 Coastal boats are currently combing the Mediterranean to see if there are still possible survivors.

Pres. Jonathan demanded N2trillion election funds to be refunded?

According to an exclusive Punch report, he did. Below is what they are reporting...
Following the defeat suffered by President Jonathan and his party, the PDP during the March 28 and April 11 elections, the President has asked the party and government officials who handled campaign funds to refund monies not spent, or those not judiciously expended, Sunday Punch can authoritatively report.
Jonathan, credible sources said, has also set up a committee of five to get those with the funds to return them.
Sources within the party and government told our correspondents that President Jonathan was disturbed that despite giving campaign coordinators, ministers, special advisers, close aides and friends, support groups and traditional rulers over N2trn in cash, most of them could not deliver their polling booths and local governments.
The President was said to have been further irked by the results of an investigation he ordered. The probe showed that some coordinators used campaign funds to buy very expensive properties, especially in Abuja, and luxury cars. Some of the funds have also been traced to the bank accounts of senior party and government officials who were charged with the disbursement of funds to voters and groups.
A reliable source within the Presidency said,
“Some ministers did not get less than N20bn each. None of them can deny it because this fact isn’t hidden within government circles. The only problem with such monies is that there is no receipt to show that they collected money. The sad part is that almost all of them performed woefully. Even in the states where the PDP won, some ministers could not deliver 100,000 votes. They could not mobilise their people to come out. The President is not happy. They all went property and car shopping. This was the most expensive election in the history of this country, yet there was no result.
“The sad part was that even after the President lost on March 28, more money was given to all of them to make up for the dismal outing by winning their states during the April 11 elections. But that turned out to be a bad decision because apart from losing the governorship election, we didn’t perform well at the National Assembly and House of Representatives polls.
“They must give an account of the money since they didn’t use it for the election. The President is not particular about the funds spent on genuine campaign needs like the hiring of jets, advertisements and the rest that also cost billions of naira. His focus is on the individuals that collected billions to deliver their states but couldn’t even win their polling booths.”

Heartbreaking photos: People stood by while this man was stabbed to death in SA

People stood by while a Mozambican man, Emmanuel Sithole, was cornered, stabbed in the heart and left to die. This happened yesterday in Johannesburg and yes, he died from his wounds. Killed just for being from another African country.. and the story told by the journalist who witnessed this brutal stabbing is heartbreaking! See more photos and read the full story from Times Live after the cut...

The brutal death of Emmanuel Sithole
As told by Beauregard Tromp and James Oatway for Timeslive.co.za

Shortly before 7am yesterday April 18th, Sunday Times journalists were in Alexandra township, near Sandton, speaking to shop owners who had their businesses looted overnight. Children played, people walked the streets, some stopped to gawk at the carnage from the night before. Then this happened ...

In a gutter in Alexandra a Mozambican man stopped and lay down. The gash to his chest meant he could go no further.

At the day clinic less than 100m away they could not help him. The doctor scheduled to be on duty did not show up because he was a foreigner and feared being a victim of xenophobia.
It began on Friday night when mobs blockaded Arkwright Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in Alexandra, with rubble and burning tyres. Foreign-owned shops' roofs were ripped open and metal gates torn away as looters went on the rampage.

Outside one spaza shop, a man in a black corduroy jacket and red shirt was walking along the road.
Suddenly a young man dressed in a grey tracksuit jacket beat him over the head with a wrench. The red-shirt man tried to fend off the blows, his arms raised. He stumbled back, falling into rubbish strewn by the roadside. The blows with the wrench rained down. Then the bludgeoning stopped and the man with the wrench moved away.

"Are we safe here?" asked a South African woman watching the attack.
The man in the red shirt got up. Now another man with a beige spottie approached, holding an okapi knife high above his head. Again, the man in the red shirt raised his hands, pleading for mercy. But his pleas were in vain. He was stabbed ... again and again.

The two grappled and fell to the floor. The man with the wrench returned. Finally, a lanky young man sprinted towards the man among the rubbish, kicking him in the head. The young man pulled a butcher's knife. A man in a black leather jacket who had discouraged the attack grabbed the wrist with the butcher's knife. The attackers fled.

The red-shirt man tried to get up but fell. Finally he made it to his feet. Feebly, he walked up the road.
Do you know why they attacked you? Who are you? Where are you from, we asked him.
He turned his head towards the questions fired at him, his face pleading. He said nothing. His shirt was drenched, a 2cm gash in his chest.

Metres further he stumbled and lay down in the gutter. He struggled to sit up and fell down

"Help me get him into the car. Help me, please," said photographer James Oatway, looking around at the men gathered around him. One stepped forward, reluctantly.
Up the road, at Alexandra Day Clinic, nurses did what they could. There was no doctor; he would have to be taken to Edenvale Hospital.

Along the way the man was flailing wildly, sitting up, lying down, wincing with pain. The wound to his chest was gushing now.

At Edenvale Hospital a lone gurney stood at the entrance. The porters sat in a room with tinted windows. Oatway pleaded for help. The man in the car was critical, he said.

Slowly one porter rose and scribbled in a book. Then the other, both now ambling towards the hospital entrance. Inside the car the red-shirt man looked lifeless.

"He's dead. We can't take him," one porter pronounced.
There was no pulse. Then a gag reflex. He's alive.

Inside the ICU, doctors compressed his chest, massaging his heart. After nearly seven minutes a ventilator was used. Shortly after 9am Emmanuel Sithole was pronounced dead. He was Mozambican. The stab wound to his chest had penetrated his heart.

In his pockets, R285 and 10c in change and a cellphone. His phone would ensure he did not die nameless.

On his wrist, three armbands read: "United for Bafana."

Chibok girls kidnapped to present GEJ's govt as incompetent- Doyin Okupe

Below is what the presidential Spokesperson shared this morning on his Facebook page...
One of the reasons the Chibok girls were kidnapped was to present Jonathan's administration as incompetent and hold it to ransom against 2015 elections.
One of the reasons the BBOG was formed was to sustain and internationalise the embarrassment. One of the reasons President Jonathan lost the election was a national and international conspiracy predicated on this carefully choreographed and assiduously sustained perception.
One of the issues that will be in the hand over notes will be the missing girls.
What is reasonable and expedient for well meaning men and women of good conscience is to dialogue with the incoming administration on what best new approach to employ to find and rescue the chibok girls.
Not much can be achieved, except mischief, by continuing to flog this administration on this matter.
I REST MY CASE.

Win N350,000 in the Ennovation Challenge

How often have you had problems trying to pay for something via a cashless transaction? How frustrating does it get sometimes? Are we truly cashless or not? When are we going to get it right we have all asked one too many times.

But... What if it was possible for you to help solve the problem?  What if it was possible for you to make money (and win some cool gagdets) from making sure that we all don't pay for any transaction with physical cash, in the nearest future?

Introducing eNNovate Naija!

As a proactive measure to solve some of the challenges posed by the Central Bank of Nigeria's cashless policy, Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement Systems PLC (NIBSS) conceived the idea of organizing an online crowd sourced contest, known as 'eNNovate Naija' aimed at generating innovative ideas to drive the policy, and generate solutions to overcome the present challenges.

The contest will play out mostly online and participants will be required to log on to a website and pitch ideas under this theme: 'How Do I Make Cashless Policy more effective in my community?'

A cash reward of N350,000 each and some Samsung devices will be given to the top 10 ideas that provide solutions to solve this collective problem of ours.

The 2015 eNNovation Challenge is managed by Digital Jewels Limited and is organized in partnership with Samsung and IBM.

Nigerian reportedly attacked in Johannesburg

A chilling story from a Nigerian who lives in Centurion, South Africa about an attack on another Nigerian in Johannesburg today. Meanwhile, how many of you have watched those horrible videos on Facebook showing the killing of African immigrants? And they are attacking children. In one video, some children were beaten, tied up and the men poured gasoline on their body. Can't share the videos here...go on Facebook. Can't believe this is happening in 2015.

In Case South Africans forget!

A reminder to ignorant South Africans who feel the need to attack those who helped them in ways that can never be repaid.

MC Galaxy attacked at Shizzi's studio by Davido and his driver

An incident happened 2 days that a few industry people have called my attention to and want it public so it will not repeat itself. Sekem crooner MC Galaxy was attacked and badly injured on Wednesday night April 15th at producer Shizzi's studio in Lekki. According to a reliable industry source, MC Galaxy, Davido (they have collaborated before) B-Red, Shizzi, Davido's driver, a guy named Lati and other HKN members were at Shizzi's studio working and laughing when suddenly things turned ugly.

According to someone who witnessed the beat down, trouble started after MC Galaxy told B-Red that he (Galaxy) was more popular than him (B-Red). B-Red didn't agree and they went back and forth. Then an HKN Gang member, who is a Ghanaian artist, told MC Galaxy that he was not funny as a comedian. MC Galaxy replied, telling him that he was an unknown artist, and they went back and forth yabbing each other. They said all of a sudden Davido came out from the studio and asked MC Galaxy to leave. Continue...

"David didn't like that Galaxy was yabbing his boys and asked him to leave. Before Galaxy could react, David hit him on the back. Then his driver, Lati, took over, punching Galaxy and then hit him on the head with an Orijin bottle. B-Red didn't touch Galaxy and Shizzi was very upset about what was happening in his studio and tried to stop the fight. Shizzi was really upset that Galaxy was attacked. If you see MC Galaxy's eyes now"
I contacted MC Galaxy to confirm he was attacked and he confirmed it but didn't want to talk much about the incident.
"Yes, I was attacked by Davido, his driver also broke a bottle on my head. Davido is someone I love and I am surprised he did this. His manager Kamal has called to apologize to me but I would rather not have this in the public." he told LIB

Tia Mowry confronts KeKe Palmer over her husband?

A few days ago, actress Tia Mowry tweeted her disapproval over the way actress Keke Palmer went on interviews to say she liked her co-star, Cory Hardrict, who is Tia's husband (read here). According to MTO, Tia confronted Keke at the premiere of the movie and Keke didn't back down. Read below..
KeKe Palmer-Tia Mowry drama is about to go into overdrive. According to an MTO tipster, we're told that Tia "confronted" KeKe on the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of KeKe's new film, Brotherly Love. Tia Mowry's husband, Cory Hardrict, stars in the movie with KeKe Palmer. And according to one actress on the film, KeKe and Cory have become inappropriately close - and there are rumors going around . . . that she might be f*cking Tia's husband.
Anyways, at Tuesday's premiere, Tia Mowry tried to keep it classy and and politely asked KeKe to be a little more appropriate around Cory. A tipster told MediaTakeOut.com,"KeKe was hugging on Cory on the red carpet, and Tia told KeKe that she was uncomfortable with all the extra contact . . . KeKe told Tia that she's like Cory's little sister, and they were just cool."

It was VERY CLEAR however, that Tia was very UPSET. Luckily for US ALL, Tia is too much of a lady to PUT HANDS on KeKe right then and there . So after a bit of heated discussion, Tia walked off.

Graphic: Strange illness in Ondo state that has killed 14 connected to exhumed corpse

Yesterday, we heard about a strange illness in a community in Ondo state that has killed at least people who woke up blind, with headache, rashes on their bodies and died 24 hours later.

According to new reports, it's not a medical condition. The state commissioner for Information and Strategy said the illness and sudden death is connected to an exhumed corpse in the community. He said people who've died so far were those who had contact with the people who exhumed the corpse.

However, a source told LIB that it was a group of people who invaded a shrine that are being attacked
"The said death by an unknown disease in Ode Irelein Ondo state, is not a disease as believed, it's actually a spiritual attack in the village meted on some indigenes in that locality who invaded the village shrine.."

This is supposedly a victim but I can not verify the authenticity of this photo...
